This project develops AI-based multilingual support to help families with migrant backgrounds overcome barriers arising from differences in language, school culture, and educational practices. In collaboration with schools and community organizations, the project combines AI-powered question answering and document analysis with knowledge from support practitioners to design practical AI scenarios for a multicultural and inclusive society.
JST AIP Acceleration Research
This project develops a learning analytics foundation to support diverse forms of learning and promote sustainable learner-centered education. The research addresses three areas: advanced analytics for learner reflection and overcoming weaknesses, a university library serving as a hub for collaborative learning, and learning analytics tools for educating learning-data scientists.
JST PRESTO
This project develops an asynchronous stream processing platform for educational big data collected from e-learning systems, digital learning materials, and other ICT-based educational environments. The platform supports data integration, modeling, change detection, and future prediction across different temporal and spatial granularities, enabling timely analysis and feedback for learners and educators.
